Update on Bill and a Big thanks you once Again!!!

Hi All, Just thought I would put an update out there for all of you as its been while. I have Been meaning to put up a post to update everybody, But I have been crazy lately trying to get everything wrapped up as we are headed to PA for 3 weeks soon to go down and visit my family and take out a few bambi's!!!

Bill is doing really good finally!!!, no more cane unless we go for long walks, he is still on TPN nutrition 12 hrs a day but hopefully next week that will be gone and it will be down to fluids for about 2-3 hours a day as he is eating really good as food is finally tasting better.

His ostemy output is finally down to a more manageable amount so hopefully when they take him off the TPN he will be down to one bag which would be awesome.

Over the past 2 weeks we have had many doctor appts and as far as they can see they all want to see him back in 3 months WOO HOO!!! No Sign of any more cancer at the moment and all they can do is monitor him anyway at this point so we are crossing our fingers there.

Have had not such good news with my dad, but he is hanging in there. He just had his 2nd month of in hospital chemo and it hit him pretty hard. Lost his hair and spent a lot of time talking with the tidy bowl man, and dealing with a lot of nausea. He has one more month of this round of chemo to go so hopefully it will get those new tumors in his lungs and he will get a break for a while.

The future for my dad is not looking good, but all we can do is pray that this chemo will take care of the tumors in his lungs and the other ones in his body will go into remission as he can no longer have any more radiation. But it will be great to finally get down to see him and mom and give them a hand for a while and do some hunting together!!!

Again Bill and I just want to thank all of you for all you have done for us. Your generosity has been overwhelming and it will definately go to good use as his short term disability ends next week and there is no long term.

All I can say is this site has one hell of alot of great people who are very passionate about fishing and very caring about each other. I hope at some point Bill and I can help pay it forward to someone else or be able to help here if needed. THANK YOU ALL!!!

Great News. Great comeback battle by both Bill and Jules. Takes a lot of courage and fight to battle back from something so serious.

Sorry but I screwed up trying to eliminate the dupe thread with no replies and ended up deleting the thread with replies. I believe I restored all the replies but the format is now "irregular".

Great to hear, thanks for passing on the good news. Keep on keeping on!!!!! As for your Pop, my prayers are with him. Chemo is a double edged sword as it can seem to hurt as much as it helps, but having loved ones around it for too long, it has proven to help more than it hurts.

We all thank you.

Thanks for the update and the good news on Bill! T & P's continue for Bill and your dad.

Thank you all again. I am looking so forward to getting home and just spending some quality time with mom and dad. I will update you all when we get back. I am hoping this will be a good trip for both Bill and My dad as they will be bonding as well LOL

Last time I took Bill home I never saw him all week as him and my dad were always on the go together. which is OK as It gives me more time to spend with mom shopping!!!

Good news on Bill!! Thanks for updating us Jules. Like others have said, you guys already paid it forward in the past. And I speak first hand on that. You and many others on this site helped me out in a time of need and I will never forget it.
I continue to pray for Bill and especially now for your Dad. Enjoy your time with him. Hopefully we'll get to see each other when you get back.

YEs you can get an AMEN, Just shows everbody that the power of prayer really works!!!

Bigbo Will call ya when we get back so we can hook up, thanks again everybody, I can't wait to see mom and dad as I talked to them everyday, mom is dealing with alot of what I am as far as taking care of somebody 24 hrs a day so we can comizerate together LOL

It will just be great to have this time together as I was not sure Bill would be ready to travel but his doctors are trying to get his TPN nutrition worked out so we can get it down there, if he still needs to be on it after tomorrow, time will tell but that was a relief to know. he saw his primary care doctor today and she could not beleive how good he looked, its great to have him joking around again and smiling.

Thoughts and prayers for your dad. Bill and you are constantly in my prayers as well. As I read in an earlier post I am a better fisherman and conservationist because of both of you. Always enjoy both of your thoughts on where fish are and when and why. Get yourself some nice healthy venison in PA.

Hey Julianne I am so sorry I haven't been on this site for a while and I just saw this about your family. I do hope things are better. Life does throw interesting things at us and it seems as though you have had more than your share. All the best to you and yours this Holiday season. Sending prayers, crossed fingers and whatever else might send some luck and good fortune your way.
Best regards,
