A great weather site

Hello again,

I would like to mention a weatherlink that I use that is really superb. Their weather forecast's aren't much different than other sites but the way they have set up the page and links that allow one to access info and keep up with changing conditions is excellent.

Go to: www.wunderground.com

In the "Fast forecast" box type in your town (or favorite fishing spot town), comma, and the state. You can abbreviate the state.
Right click and hit Create shortcut. This will give you a home page direct link.

This gives you a current conditions page and 7 day forecast.
There is a Marine forecast link, which includes tides throughout the region. A tropical weather link, which is great for keeping up with a storms movement and progress and an awesome Radar and Satellite imagery section.

For $ 5 you can join and ALL the ads are removed and you get to run a loop on the satellite imagery map. THIS IS VERY HELPFUL WHEN TRYING TO FIGURE OUT IF RAIN OR T-STORMS ARE COMING OR GOING !

It is well worth the $ 5 (for a year) and I don't get ANY kick back. Just thought that some of you would want to know.

This site is produce by the Univ. of Mich. and the tropical section has some GREAT maps , charts and forecats.

Here's to progress !

Funny,

Went to weather.com today and looked around. Like I said, It is the homepage set-up that is important to me.
Weather.com and others aren't set-up to review info quick and get what you are looking for.

Pay the $5. You will REAL happy you did when a hurricane starts to come close.

And pop-ups ?

I had three after a 30 second visit to weather.com.

When you live on a small island the little things become important.

Funny how that is similar to fishing....

But I have to admit that the Noaa site is a great page too.
Likwid is right on.

It is the radar/tropical page that wunderground has that beats them all.
