Woo-hoo... more training today. My weekend started last night with some schoolie action. Right at dusk, the wind laid down a bit and I was able to throw some jerkybaits. Nailed 4 fish with two around 26"... pretty fun on light tackle.

Tonight, a little south shore eel action on the dropping tide around my favorite rocks. With all the large that our mass anglers are catching, I figure this spot could produce.

Tomorrow morning... maybe some more schoolie action at a couple harbor spots... tomorrow night... well, if my south shore rocks produce, I'll hit them again.

How and why so much fishing... Ms. Schoolie Monster is out of town as of this morning and she's taking my daughter. Reasons aren't cool as she had a death in the family...though she is going more for support (it was a great aunt that she wasn't very close to). Anyway, my tow vehicle will be going so my plans for taking the boat out are gone, but I'll trade that for unlimited access...

John, I'll let you know if I slay 'em tonight, then maybe you'll want to stop up tomorrow.

Tight lines everyone.

Greg - sorry to hear about Karen's aunt, Florida?

Let me know how you do because that's a possibility for tomorrow night with Gwen's Bro-In-Law...

schoolie, sorry about the aunt.

Tonight The Great Canali and a fish big enough to scare the kids...
I plan on meeting up with Saltheart and maybe chris, if his bike goes by my spot 50 yards east of Saltheart.

Saturday a yard sale to hopefully claim some of the garage back.

Sunday mow the hay I mean weed the garden.

Thanks for the condolensces, but to be honest, I never met the woman ... and Karen wasn't close to her, but some family members are pretty upset as it was pretty sudden. She's just going for support of the family... plus, Britta should help cheer everyone up. Kids can have that affect.

John, give me a call tomorrow afternoon when making your plans and I'll fill you in on tonight's action. Tomorrow should be a good tide 'cause it isn't too late.

My weekend may actually be fishless, which is hard to deal with , but I'm waiting on my brother in law who comes in tomorrow and my brother gets in tonight. I'm working hard in the yard all weekend, to prepare for some additional fence work and a fall lawn job; lot's of stumps to dig out and move. Sometimes taking a break is a good thing, except I hate taking one knowing thar be large out there .

Looks like a boat trip out in Cape Cod Bay. I couldn't make it last weekend and my buddy got a dozen over 25 lbs. between Sat. and Sunday! Hope they are still around.

Went camping with my wife at Shawmee Crowell state park. We were very impressed with the park and it only cost $10/night (no water and electric).

It was recommended to me that we get an "over sands" permit and head for the beach. I made sure I had all of the proper gear (shovel, board, jack, tire guage, and tow rope).

I was told by an unamed source that it would cost $36 for an annual pass which is what I wanted because we planned on spending more time down the cape. Imagine my surprise when I learned that annual permits were really $65 and - oh bye the way - "We are all out (quota was reached)". However, for the insane price of $40 dollars, I could get a 7 day permit. As luck would have it, I was planning on returning to the Cape 8 days later.

So I sucked it up and shelled out the 40 clams. We still had a blast nonetheless.

I didn't do any fishing but the folks who were said it was real slow.

On our way out, we saw a whale (~20') swim right by where I was snorkling an hour earlier - 25' from shore!
