ADDED TEREZ

Well I finally broke down and pulled the trigger on a new Spinning rod for myself. Added a 7'2" med/heavy fast action to the bag of tricks for next year. If you ever get a EMPLOYEE price card in the mail from CABELAS it is not a waste of time. The discount is quite significant on big ticket items. Hope I get another one before spring so I can get a Proper Reel for it

Great rod...have a couple. Amazing power for a light rod...and as nice as most customs. Best part: OVER THE COUNTER REPLACEMENT if it breaks. That is customer service my friend. Shimano does it right. If you buy the best, they take care of you.

I have one conv and one spinning. caught tuna/bass/blues/mahi on both. Used them as a shotgun along the Center-line overhead holder while trolling as well as butterfly jigging. Everyone who fishes with them likes them. Colors are odd but you will have no trouble ID'ing them. I have a stella 10K on the spin and a accurate500 on the conv, lots of choices for reels. I plan to get a couple more this season. Will probably go conv's and use 2 speed talica's. My wife whipped a 75# tuna on it like it was a small bluefish. Very comfortable to fish with.
Non-Believers will tell you they break. Yeah some do, but you get another free no questions asked without delay.

Thats one of the reasons I finally got one, my friend bought a conv with a Talica on it last year at the Salt water show in Rhode Island and the thing is awesome. I could not belive the amount of backbone you get out of such a light rod that still has that much sesitivity.
