Handcarve video
This might be old hat to you guys, but I couldn't stop watching the video. In the comments section he said it takes 20 days to make a lure.

Some of these guys are more artist than anything else. Some impresive to see from start to finish.

he is very well skilled with his knife
yet he continually makes the cut towards
himself and that seems dangerous to me

When he was carving the rattle slot, all I could picture was him pushing too hard and going right through his hand. That is how I would do it anyway!

carvers always draw towards themselves, at least that's how I've been taught. I wear leather thumb guards when I carve.
