Yak' Fishin' Quonny Sat night. 6:00pm - ???
Anyone want to meet up?
Rob (Yellow Tarpon 160)
EDIT:
Just thought I'd mention that the folks over at Ken Abrames' board are tryin' to hook up for a daytime yak trip to Ninigret Sat.
I'm not sure of the time but you can use this link to check in.
I'm going to try and join up with them before I head to Quonny. They may come over for the 6:00pm paddle as well.
l8r,
Rob

Actually playing golf on saturday!
Will continue to upgrade tackle situation for the second half of the season... May think about installing an electric downrigger that has been sitting in a box for a few months. Dying to know how it works.
Just got my waterproof keyboard...may (doubtful) try to move that project along a little.
Surf fishing has slowed...I may sneak out Sunday night for a few hours more to scout a few potential surf spots. That is if I behave at the eailer cocktail party.

I just got back from 4 days in far northern Maine, so I've got no clue as to whether or not I'm headed out, but maybe one morning. It was nice to get away from all the crap on my plate and do nothing but fish, enjoy one of the most beautiful lakes I've ever been on and spend some time with a couple friends. I've been named Moose Man by friend John, as every time he camps with me, several Moose sightings are inevitable. This trip it was two cows and a third with a young calf, which we watched up close for quite some time as the old women wasn't quite sure what to do about us. I'll upload the pictures at some point, although some might rather see the two 4 lb smallies I'm holding in one picture .

Roasting in the bleachers at Fenway tomorrow afternoon for the Sox/ Spankees. Then the usual drive to the cape till late Tuesday night. Hopefully will be able to find some clean water. I may even brave the traffic tonight and head down for a few hours since it is supposed to be so nice. haven't fished on a Friday night all summer. Too many people.

Notaro that fisherman issue is really good for fluke. I might use some of the tips myself.

the fisherman always have good issues, but not all of them. they include some good reports and tips. that issue is for shore fluking. it might help me to even out the odd for me at onset or bass river. come to think of it, i kinda miss bass river.

Fished this morning with my buddy Joe. No fish but man my new conventional rod and Abu 6500 Big Game reel are awesome. Can't wait to feel a fish on it. Beautiful morning though. Tomorrow, going to the MSBA outing with my kids and my buddies. Should be a great time. Lots of sun, food and fishtalk.
