Fishing Cape Ann

My suspicions have been confirmed after watching the gannets diving along our coast line and outer harbor stripers have arrived here on Cape Ann....Have not heard of or seen anyone catching mackerel from shore

Gannets diving for stripers?

I also heard gannets were dive-bombing close to shore as close as SF-park but assumed they were eating sea herring or macs. Last year at this time I had a few nights catching sea herring as they clogged up the canal and spilled into the harbor.
