Paper preservation
Does anyone here know how to properly preserve a newspaper?

Newsprint is very acidic and won't keep well. Best bet would be to copy it to something more durable or seek an archivist who could treat the newsprint.

Am I crazy if I say I remember that keeping it in water would preserve it? Maybe I'm thinking of that first scene in Titanic ..? |

Is that expensive? It;s not that impressive of an article and I'm sure I'll be in the paper again another time. Not sure if it's worth it. |

Just laminate it, go to Staples get the laminate and an iron. 
It will likely out live you! |

Not that expensive unless you're trying to frame the full newspaper...if it's just a clipping much less.
Also this assumes you want to hang it on the wall.
