Does anyone here know how to properly preserve a newspaper?

Newsprint is very acidic and won't keep well. Best bet would be to copy it to something more durable or seek an archivist who could treat the newsprint.

Frame it in archival matting material and use a UV protective piece of glass

Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.

First-time poster, everybody be nice
Am I crazy if I say I remember that keeping it in water would preserve it? Maybe I'm thinking of that first scene in Titanic ..?

Is that expensive? It;s not that impressive of an article and I'm sure I'll be in the paper again another time. Not sure if it's worth it.

Just laminate it, go to Staples get the laminate and an iron.
It will likely out live you!

Not that expensive unless you're trying to frame the full newspaper...if it's just a clipping much less.
Also this assumes you want to hang it on the wall.
