Basking Shark

Saw a Basking Shark out on Jeffries by the Curl.
At least I believe so. It was over 20' long and at least 6 feet wide.
We scared it down trying to get a better view.

A couple of years ago, JohnnyD and I were fishing off the Race in my boat and saw an huge basking shark just off the beach about 40-50 yards. There were people swimming in the water with this beast just a few yards away but no one saw it. I almost yelled to them to point the shark out but didn't want to be responsible for any heart attacks. First time I'd seen one that close to the beach, but the water gets deep fast there.

Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn.

Bite was okay... caught about 40 fish... mostly short cod.
We ended up with 12 cod and 2 haddock.
Most fish were caught on clams... was hoping to get into some Haddock.
Tried inside and outside NWC, Pigeon Hill and The Curl.
Next weekend Tillies
