Congratulations Canalman.
Out of curiosity, was there a lot of action that night? If yes, were they of considerable size (30+)?
Or was it a quiet night before and after you landed your prize?
Once again, Good for you!!
This wave of supreme fish that we've been witnessing (60's, 70's, and 80) the last couple of seasons won't last forever. For any middle-aged fishermen and older, take advantage of this window of opportunity. Fish as often as you can!!! I won't bore you with my synopsis, just get out there and fish!!!!

It was spotty but consistent. Nothing else even close to 50, but a solid shot of 23-28 pounders and a sprinkling of fish over 30. That fish was my second fish of the night--the first was 28# and came maybe 5 casts prior. The fish were moving through in pods, or at least that's what I think .
