CTS Vapor Trail 11' 2-4 vs. 3-6

Can anyone give the actual range on these? Looking to pick one up to leave in the dorm for mainly canal use but will use it wetsuiting as well. Mainly throwing 2-3.5 ounces in the canal and a bit less at times in the surf. Will the 3-6 do this or will the 2-4 work better? Thanks

3-6 for sure, especially if on the canal. that's the weight range i use and that is my go to canal rod. the little xtra backbone really helps with large in the current. i should be going there in a couple of weeks and would be glad to have you cast mine.

I have no expirience with 2 to 4 but the 3 to 6 will do what you want with heavy pencils and yet you can still use stuff in a lower range...sweet rod

I'm getting an S7 3-6 wrapped up as we type here its a cross between the two blank types. I talked to a few ppl who own the vt 3-6 and said they could throw stuff as light as the diawa minnow with considerable ease... that seemed slightly far fetched to me, but the point is that they throw stuff with underrated weight very well. you're more than welcome to try mine out when I get it.

something clever and related to fishing

I own the 4 to 8 oz and wish I got the 3 to 6 but the builder told me it was a true 2 to 5, i will say even this rod will throw light stuff as well as my 1201 m but really comes to life around 3 oz I love it for jigging the canal and it has crazy power I played with the 2/4 and felt it was to light and more whippy. I never seen a 3 to 6 but would have to say after fishing mine and playing with the 2 to 4. I would say the 3 to 6 is your best bet.
