Was considering it, but I saw flooding already in Old Lyme... (don't know why or how... but it was posted by the local news...) regretting staying home now...

I have tried to play that game enough to know it isn't worth it. Can't stay in touch with your gear Saturday night Sunday morning were the last chances at effective fishing until it passes

Yup... I was just going to let folks know that along the shore down here the police may not allow folks to get near the beach anyway. I'm going to head out to check a property at Green Hill that belongs to my family... and check a couple of my customers places. Not sure I'll get through if the police are at Green Hill Beach Road. Anyway... no desire to risk it for me.

Inlets maybe, but the front in SoCo was pretty much blown out by dark last night.
Besides, there's no fish in RI.
Really!

1. It's the end of Oct
2. This storm has turned the shoreline into coffee milk with silt. Bass can't breathe with all the silt so they head offshore.
3. You will be risking your life for a fish. It doesn't make any sense. I've done it for 40+ years and I have fished in everything imaginable. You'll get you a$$ kicked for nothin'.
4. Better plan. Stay in and work on your gear. Still a few fish to be had up to the second week in Dec.
5. Fish smarter not harder

This thread was started yesterday, talking about fishing last night. Today is out of the question.
