Very sorry to hear this
condolences to his friends and family

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.

1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!

It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.

I met him once at Dunkin Donuts in gansett to pick up a spool from him on my way to block island and damn near missed the ferry talking to him. What a great guy. Talked for about a half hour, it didnt take long to know he was a good guy, he shared a bunch of fishing stories. Condolences to his friends and family.

Everything is better on the rocks.

Sincerest sympathies to his family and friends. Sudden deaths of this type always hurt loved ones the most.

Very sad to hear. He was great guy. He gave me a guided tour of Gansett one day and brought me to a secret clamcake place and showed me some of his favorite spots. That was a great day. RIP

I met him a few times on Cutty. Great guy who seemed to really enjoy life. I hope I'm getting this right, but I remember him telling me about a bait shop he had in Apponaug, and I lived near there at the time. Rest easy.

You're right. Owning a bait shop in Apponaug is one of the several things Eddie did during his lifetime. He ended his years living on Pt. Judith in Narragansett where he'll be greatly missed by the local surfcasters.

Commercial striped bass pin hooker as a kid, Army sniper in Vietnam, manager of the ocean mist, truck driver, tackle shop owner, co owner of a antique consignment store, antique dealer, and general junk man... He fascinated me.
His father was a surf caster as well and died from being swept off the east wall.. They found his body the next spring on Scarborough beach. Ed was one in a million.

Just found out today - shocked and saddened, and yet so glad to have had the honour to have met him and for the time to spend in his company, whether casting or conversing.

So many fond memories; his humour, the brit/gee conversations, and he taught me so much. A large part of my daughters' education of fishing came from him.

Take care, my friend, and thank you. I will see you in the surf.

You are missed.
