Hello all!!!! spookey board syndrome!!!

Been checking the board occasional but wasn't able to get any post's in. Been out on the boat alot in the last week or so, and it has Been pretty slow, some days it on some days its off. Most of the big fish are in hidding out in deeper water.

I was out Saturday playing in the rain with BC's borther and got into quite a bit of topwater action. Even got a double with a bass and a blue. That was fun!!! But not many large fish most in the 20 to 28 inch range and the blues running about 3-6 lbs.

Went out Sunday, into the fog from hell. When BC and I got out on the water we had surface ation right away, both bass and rat's, then the fog rolled in thick, so we anchored up for a while to wait it out. Then went on the move again, we threw artificials, live herring and even did some wire line jiggin. Should have been and awesome day with glass like conditions and fog. But just didn't happen.

There is a ton of herring out in the harbor. More than I have ever seen. The macks are all but gone. The fishing is definatley
off. But in the next couple of weeks when the water turns over. LOOK OUT BABY!!!! The fall feeding frenzy will begin and all hell will break loose.

If you are looking for top water and shad action. Head out to Nutt Island, Peddocks or around the corner to Portuge Cove and you should find fish. But you need to get out there right around sun up or around sun set for it to be most productive. The is also a school of fish hanging around over by Nahant, just past Gravel light. So get out there and go get um.

I am headed south to PA for a week or so, I guess I will have to hit up dads pond for some Lg mouth bass and some big catfish and pearch. Doesn't matter as long as its pulling the other way. Hope you all have a great week or so. Will post from PA if I get anything Large outa that pond!!!!

I was at Carson beach early Saturday morning and it was'nt happening. I went to Nut Island in the afternoon. A few fish from 20-26" were caught on clams. I met Mike from Basspond put there he tallied a keeper on clams , his first from the shore, it was 28-29". One thing I hate about fishing there is that everyone is telling you a fish is a keeper before you actually measure it. If it is just over , say 29" or 30" and you release it, well its like you just killed someone's mother or something.

Hi Specialist. That was you! It was good to meet you and I appreciate your offering to help remove the hook (totally swallowed) How did you make out after I gave up my spot?

Mike it was nice meeting you too. I had one hit on clams that I missed while fiddling with my other rod, that was just as you were pulling out. It got quiet about 45 minutes after that. Maybe we will see each other out there again. Shoot me an email next you are planning to go.
