A buddy of mine was out to the race on Saturday evening. He said that there were Peanut Bunker stacked up in the water from the point all the way down to the Mission Bell. He did alright in the Striper category but said that the bluefish were EVERYWHERE! Me thinks it's about time to make another jaunt out

I HAVE to ask...why on EARTH would you even GO there without a rod???? honey sounds like you need to buy a crappo rod to throw in the back and leave there just for cases like this! My husband rolls his eyes at me sometimes! we'll be going somewhere with no plans of fishing but I have to pack a rod "just in case we see a little pond along the way!" and if were going any where NEAR the ocean...the rod DEFINATELY goes....

stupidity I guess I took some friends to the spice Co. out there as they are so cheap on there spices and my friends wanted to go. I also have been wanting to go as I amabout to start making pickles and needed some supplys.
This turned into a ride into town and wlking all over the place. Then I said why don't we go out to the beach and show you the light house and stuff, So off we go. Got there about 1/2 hour before the lights went out and fish all over the place!!
My friend and his girl friend are from Mississippi. And never been out there. If I had a rod they coud have caught there first fish out there. O well i have a rod to put inthere for now on, but of corase now that I am ready this will never happen again!!

race blitz
Dave, funny thing you say dead drifting plugs. thats how i was scoring bass when i was there. moving plugs equaled blues. on the pause or stop was when the bass hit.they did like a big yellow and white needle and small yellow and white popper.
