fishin the cape
hey fellas,
first post here. Im hitting the cape on sunday AM after a wedding in NH saturday night. I havent fished there before, in fact I havent been up there at all in 20 years. Im researching tons of places and things to do on the web, but Im looking for advice. I dont want anyone to put me on fish or give me secret spots, just want to know access and ideas as far as what might be a good bet. Ill be fishing 24 hours straight, so I dont wanna waste rmy time. I think Im gonna try to get a guide for a few hours during the day and hopefully pick there brian a little.
I have everyhting I need, I fish LI and Montauk 5-6 nights a week. If anyone could give me some "local help" ILl gladly re-pay with some local LI help if ever needed!
Thanks and this board is full of info!!

I hear Dave (one of the list sponsors) is pretty good. Plus he turns a good plug.

Big Country - welcome to S-B ...
The Cape is an awfully big place. Fish from Falmouth to RP and many points in between. Ya might want to try some of the Hollows in Wellfleet (you'll need a town visitor parking pass I think). Trudge down the sand slope and work the beach...

Oh Mikey, nice impression on the new guy. Aren't you an educator? A molder of impressionable young minds? Those poor kids weren't in the class with you when you dropped the big one were they?
C'mon help the new guy out. Tell him your secrets for Bass Hole/Chase Garden.

I have caught one 18" fish at Bass Hole the last three times I have been. I would go to the Race. Get a week pass (45$) go a bit past self contained and fish from 5-7 AM. I'll be there this weekend. PM me Big Country and I'll give you my cell. I'll be fishing there from 4-9 Sat and Sun morning and other secret spots at night. Good Luck. Since it is after Labor Day you can park at some of the beaches in N. Truro (head of the meadow?Coast Guard) for free during the day. I've done well during the day there in similar conditions that we're gonna have this weekend. But NW wind on Sunday at the Race sounds great.
