as krispy said, they WILL break! i purchased quite a few mambos over the years. not a single one has lasted more than about a dozen fish. i broken the front eye, the bottom eye, and the back eye. this is all on the 7" model. the combo of braid, a graphite rod, zero drag, and big fish equals lure failure. i was only using mambos on the CT river, and then only in shallow water. the only reason i stuck with the lure for so long was that it did produce and i had no other lure that would work in the <3' water in some places on the river. two seasons ago i discovered a lure that takes the mambo's place. it catches better than the mambo ever did and i have as yet to break one. i posted once last spring as to what lure it was. i will say one hint, it is nothing new to the market.......
