From shore your best bet is East beach and Cape Pogue/Cape Pogue gut. However you need a beach sticker to get out there. Unless you know how to get to the gut off the chappy road on the left.
Also Menemsha is a good spot from shore, but like others have said it can get crowded and you get the occasional jerk in the boat who runs over you line with a fish on
