Talking Thanks

Thanks nightfighter. My fish in at 35 lbs, 9 oz (my best so far) and was caught on a black sluggo, which I finally started having good results with after reading Steve M's article in OTW and #^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&'s posts here (I was fishing it too slow before). The fish placed a close second and may have been enough to win if it hadn't been hooked in the gills, causing to loose a decent amount of blood and weight. I think the one that straightened out my sampo duo lock snap and took my chartruse a-salt 3' in front of me while I was trying to time beaching it with the waves would have won because it was significantly bigger. Manzi's black/gold and Gag's black/purple needles were producing very well also, especially as the tide rose and we needed longer casts to reach to structure.
