I think everyone I've ever read who knows a heck of a lot more about it than myself says to stick with regular guides!

It's not light but will be a good fit for the 250. I've got mine on a 1321L that's circumsized 4" to a 12 tip so it's more like the M. To add even more weight I had a cork foregrip put above the reel seat so I can just grab the rod above the reel. Great rod but it's a workout at times...
