I saw the Super Surf factory rods yesterday at M&Ds. They are just about perfect as is. The only thing I would personally have done differently on a custom is having the reel seat nut lock down instead of up. Other than that---best factory rod I've ever seen--reel seat placement, guide size, spacing, double wrapped cork tape foregrip, everything right on. At least for me.

I haven't seen the conventional models yet, but there is no way I'd spend the extra dough for a custom spinning rod. Not even to get my own colors. I've never seen a production rod laid out so perfectly for me.

Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools, because they have to say something.
