I got completely covered by a wave and was underwater for 4 seconds last night... lost my hat and my headlamp...(held onto my rod tight!) surf was huge. I was standing in chest deep water about to get onto my rock when overhead whitewater covered me. luckily I was in my wetsuit, but I also would try to get to where I was going without it. Hey clammer, your buddy dennis gave me his headlamp after watching me get submerged, as I didnt have my backup... Stand up guy. Thanks dennis!!!
Surf is huge... be careful... if I was in waders, I'd be in big trouble. Crazy hearing about someone losing their life not too far away
