yeah, I'm talking about about a SOT as well, in the cold salt water I usually wear dry gear in case I go in to avoid hypothermia, and it also keeps my butt dry in the seat!

Even in a SOT, if the foot wells and around your seat fill with water because the scuppers are plugged, it could be difficult to paddle and manuever and could possibly flip you in some chop/swells.
