well, if your pics are that big you should really resize them.

I resize all my pics to be about 640 pixels wide. To me this seems
like the best format for forums and such. 640 is the old web
standard when there were still low res monitors around. I think 640
is the pixel dimentions of a 13" monitor.


Down sizing to that size....your image size will be under
1 mb....which means you can have 2000 images. Its free....Not a bad
deal.

The default resolution cameras shoot at....are really absurd unless
you are going to print. If your images are for web only, you can set
your default resolution for your camera much lower....this will save
storage on your computer and on your SD cards.
