Got the hernia's taken care of

Funny what shows up when you lose weight. Umbilical hernia, which are common I'm told, and an angular hernia, less common, but located where you think hernias should be. The belly button one was larger than at first thought, and took longer to repair. The anesthesiologist said I'm going to give you something to relax you just before they wheeled me into the OR, and I was out before I was all the way through the outer doors. 11:45 a.m. into the OR and I woke up at 2:30 pm in recovery, and was home at 5:30 pm.
Sore but comfortable. My primary wanted me to wait a few months to see what happened, but I vehemently told her I have to be healed by mid-April for fishing. Have to lay low for four days, and take it easy for thirty. Will be lots of lures made in the cellar.
