InshoreAngler, keep it simple, go with different weights as you never know what the wind and tide will do to you out there. I have used the mega-bait jigs in the mackerel pattern and have had great success with them, also the norwiegen jigs, picked them up at fore river bait and tackle as he is giving a 15% discount on jigs right now.
But as I said get a few different weights. As far as teasers go I really think that just about any soft plastic, from curly tail grubs to those little squids will work. Have done great this year with pink/white, orange/yellow, and purple.
