It's not just wind that causes the infamous wind knot symptoms either, depending on what you're tossing, your retrieve can throw some loose loops in there too...4 turns of the handle with no pressure on the line and then 3 turns with x-pressure, rinse and repeat, and you've given it potential...but nothing's perfect, she was over full...
Best thing is to not sleep on it...as soon as you know it's there, deal with it... try pulling the loop open as hard as you can, then try pulling the ends. Sometimes you can feel it give, sometimes not...but you gotsa to pull like your trying to snap the line.
