Yet The auto industry is one of the most important industries in the United States. It historically has contributed 3 – 3.5 percent to the overall Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

So it makes sense to motivate both good paying job and EVs

Win Win

As for Tesla or Vw or Toyota all non union shops these workers and companies can get the tax credit if they are union. It’s a choice they and their employees need to make .. like get a vaccine or you don’t get to work in a hospital..

These right to work states want the benefits of union representatives but mandated they don’t have to pay

Seem these same states want the same with Covid they want the benefit of a vaccine and vaccinated people and the economically benefit .. with out actually taking
The vaccine …. Funny how that works

“it makes sense to motivate good paying jobs and EVs”

you missed the entire point. entirely. why do union-made EVs deserve more federal motivation than EVs made by Honda and Tesla?

Why is it more important to the federal government that Ford succeed, than it is that Tesla succeed?

That’s the only question. And you won’t answer it.

As to unions, if they’re so great, why is membership mandatory? How come every single time they make membership voluntary, so many people opt out?
