With a break in the weather I was able to get a coat of timber oil on two bird houses I made from pieces of the choke cherry we lost in that first nor'easter. Hung them this morning with the bottoms with a good bed of saw dust and shavings and sparrows are already using them. Listen, the weirdest thing I have seen all winter is a flock of Eastern Bluebirds at our feeders last week. They are usually long gone.
