STUMPED!! deciding on a new plugging rod

Stumped big time on what i want to do... I almost bought a XS 101 MS.. but the Tsunami looked better and felt better... lol... then i grabbed a tri-flex TS 101 MS I didn't like the creaking/cracking noises comming from this one either... The sales guy told me it was because there was no underwraps and it was the foot of the guides rubbing on the blank.. i though... hmmm Tsunami underwrapped their $70 rod but ..ooh never mind.. Lami's were made to be bought CUSTOMIZED anyways...

Well.. i'm hearing from a few people different things... like

I throw plugs between 2 and 4 oz and spoons upto 5oz..
I have a setup that covers my 3/4 - 1-7/8 lures..
90% of the time i'll be heaving 2.5-3.5oz plugs.
I'll be using PP so any recommendations on guide type would be nice..
also doesn't need to be super light.. i don't want to give up power just to save some strength..
