more on books
I just finished "the moon pulled up an acre of bass" by Kaminski.
Basically a fly-rodders experience fishing Montauk for a fall stretch.
It was a good book and a great description of the Montauk fall scene but throughout it you get the common subconscious theme that fly-Roding is the ultimate holier then thou supreme method of fishing and anything else is a "blue-collar" method and doesn't count.
Fly rod guys will love it.
I have to admit having fished there myself for years, Montauk probably has the best day time bite then anyplace I have fished esp in the fall for bass. That place can really turn on in mid day when the condions are right (and the are right at times almost every day in oct)
