I did a boat rod w/ Flexcoat a week or so ago when my basement temp was around 50F. Not the idea temperature, BUT it cured ok. Once it set I took it upstairs where it was 70F for a couple of days before I did a 2nd coat and then repeated the process, but let the rod upstairs since I completed it.

Humidity was low 30s in basement. I used an alcohol lamp to soften the epoxy and to remove the bubbles. It ran on a home made rod spinner for several hours while it was setting up.

This isn't the most ideal thing to do, but it did work ok. Many people made drying boxes that are closer to 70F +.
