What about the long 12' rods, any of you use them?
I've got five surf rods in the nine to ten foot range. These seem to be fine for what I do. I like a ten footer. Bass up tight. But there're spots where I live, boulders and shelves, a good hundred yards offshore, where a well placed chunk on the back-side, could be glorious. It'd be a hell of a toss though. Ah the things I dream about while walking the dogs.
