Large Needlfish ?'s

Guys,

I made some large needles below out of AYC. They swim directly on top and don't go down at all in the water. I want't these to be able to sink a little and based on the retrieve swim at desired depth.

Perhaps I have them weighted wrong?

They are 8 inches long and weight 2.75 oz's. I have two weights in them. In the tail around .8 oz and a 3/8 by 1/2 slug right in front of the front hook.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
Paulbo
