BM - you can see pics of both fish on Blaine's website. My 49" fish was caught 9/5, and Blaine's hawg was in late October. The 49" fish was a racer with no belly at all. She was released without a weight taken - this year I have the 60 pound Rapala scale (modified to open wider). I would have guessed right around 40. I caught two 48" fish in the previous year that weighed 39 and 40 pounds. It is just my luck that my largest are usually on the diet that Oprah should be on.

I use the berkly dig scale its very close to a certified scale for the most part.
