Finally connected with some larger beach fish last night. 3 large all on the big dark blue Bernzy pike. Tail hook on the last fish broke while I was un-hooking it with the pliers
...snapped off. My bogo grip was on the boat but I took one of the smaller fish home to consume for tonight and it weighed 29#...the others were in the low 30's.
Considering the beating these plugs have taken the past few weeks the still look very good and swim perfect.
Blues do the most damage by far and I have been able to limit contact with them.
Plan to replace hooks and go again tonight, this time I will bring my camera
(always a bad sign to bring a camera)
