Portuguese World's Fair in Newport

Yeah, it's that time of year again - the Portuguese Festival is on this weekend at Jesus Saviour Chucrch on Broadway near the One Mile Corner -

Fresh malassadas, chourico grinders, soupas, 43 different kinds of beans, etc etc -

Also chances for a big cash prize too - I'm gonna go before I go out tonite (I think Pt Jude Joe said it's open to 11 PM - gotta get my fix of real malassadas for breakfast tomorrow to go with the Sunday Projo) -

Eeee cooodeesh I just remembered - I gotta get there before Joe wipes out the chourico booth again - he got the last four chourico sangwiches at the Touro Park Pork-a-Cheese Fest - minutes before I showed up

Varmint!

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.
