MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS NEAR THE EYE HAVE INCREASED TO 80 MPH...WITH
HIGHER GUSTS. SOME ADDITIONAL STRENGTHENING IS POSSIBLE
TODAY...AFFECTING THE OUTER BANKS OF NORTH CAROLINA BEFORE ALEX
MOVES OUT TO SEA.
