A very well known Austrian chef from Newport who is a good friend of ours also loved the Uke - and he was widely considered one of the very best ever to work in Newport.
THe old Uke always got high praise for good comfort food, reasonable prices and a friendly staff - it's sure tough to find
that combo here on the Island.
I oughta know - I was in the business off and on - and mostly on -for 30 years.
