Jointed swimmer question

Hi guys,
Been lurking here for a while and just started making a few plugs, mostly needles and pencils so far.

Almost ready to attempt some swimmers and I was wondering how the back loop in the front section of a jointed plug was done.

In CapeSams photos in Steelheads recent post it looks like they aren't wrapped the usual way like on the back of the tail section.
Am I just not seeing it or is it done a different way.

And thanks to everyone on the boards for all the great help.
