Coos Bay Oregon. The Japan current keeps it fairly mild all year, high 40's low 50's in winter to 70/80 in summer. There is no such thing as a private beach in Oregon. All the coastline belongs to the public as part of the state highway system. The Cascade Mountains keep the cold weather of eastern Oregon at bay. Clean and green. You have steelhead, salmon and trout and ling, halibut and cod offshore plus some small tunas. Best though is the Striper fishing said to be only second to the northeast. Sixty pound fish are caught each year. Native Oregonians don't striper fish much as they see them as cutting in on the salmom/steelhead. Lots of bass, all the access you want. I looked into it seriuously in the early 80's. Could not get the old lady to go. Real steelhead, ocean run and big not NY/Penn lake runs and Stripers at the same time and place. Talk about died and gone to heaven. Someday.
