Lightbulb Mega Crease fly

I've been trying(unsucessfully) to come up with a 6-7 inch crease fly. The reason forsuch a fly is to match aherring struggeling on the surface. My problem is durability. The foam body just won't hold up to repeated casts. I like the material but unless you give it 4-5 coats of epoxy(which makes it hard to cast) the darn things fall apart. Anybody got any ideas?
