I love the smell of Bunker in the mornin!
Smells like victory!
First large of the season fell for my herring fly this am. Brought her into the boat and she puked up 2 full bunker as well as some smaller bait. She swam away a little hungrier.
The fish were all over the surface smashing bunker, hopefully this is a good sign for the pogie population this year .I caught 6 more fish, before I had to go to work. 7 fish from 18-33", 2 of which were over 30".
I always let my first few large of the season swim away for another day. My Grandfather would not keep his 1st fish of any species, he said it was bad luck.
Hopefully, a repeat performance Sat am.
