I think you will find them exceptionally effective. The key word is slow retreive. The walk the dog approach also works but don't use it during the day. This is a night time plug. A bluefish will marr the finish and it is not worth it. Put on a bullet-proof plug like a roberts ranger if blues are around and you want topwater action. The latest color "midnight-bling" should be either copywrited or outlawed. If I owned a corvet that is the color I would want it to be.

Like most of the quality builders on this site, all of bernzy's models are excellent. While howdy leaves a great V wake when worked as like a needle, his swimmers swim real nice and tend to loiter nicely in the kill zone. Use this howdy plug when you want slow surface movement at or near the top of the water column . Most of his plugs work best (for me at least) in low to moderate current. For stronger rips use the largest howdy.
His others are also a work of art. Well worth the coin and the wait to obtain these. Make sure you tie good knots, you don't want to snap this off.

Oh to top it off....he is a hell of a nice guy too.
