targeting keeper seabass

With fathers day coming up, nothing would make my pops happier then to catch some tasty table fare.

My experience with seabass has been when scup fishing. I have noticed alot more seabass around then ever, the thing is their mostly shorts. Most of the humps I'm on a inshore and in farely shallow waters.

At what depts hold a higher keeper ratio... I know alot nice seabass are caught fluking,,,would it be a smarter move to target fluke instead of seabass this time of year??

any help would be great/
