Unless you are seeking 100 pound plus Tunoids or some such larger gamefish it is totally unnescesary to employ a Bimini Hitch while Bass, Blue, Albie etc., fishing. A well tied Improved Clinch knot and a well tied Bloodknot will be the knots used 90% of the time. Tied correctly a Improved Clinch gives 99% knot strength. Given that most lines are way underated when it comes to lb. test as listed on the box except for IGFA rated lines, the 1% +/- in strength values are negated. If you seek a modicum more in the way of insuring knot strength totality, keep, as I do, a small bottle of Zap-A-Gap Super Glue. It's the only brand so far known to be 100% non-water soluable. Just a tiny drop on a knot will keep your mind free from worry. Just my take. Hell, this past weekend we were school Bluefin Tuna fishing and those are the knots we use on the gear. No problems encountered.

Why even try.........
