Political Thread
Let me start by saying I am an Independant............but it really looks like the Democrats are a shoe in for the next Presidential election.....Iraq, unemployment, gasoline prices......the Dems could run Bozo the Clown and beat the republicans thanks to GW's efforts.....and -- it hurts me to even think this -- but I think Hilliary will be the first female US President after our next election.
Greed is killing the Republican party....IMO.....no social values....they beleive in free markets and Capitalism to the extreme (which is incorrect even according to our Founding Fathers).....it always amazed me how the conservative Christian community backed Bush in the last election simply becuase he said he supports Christian values....while he does support some of them (abortion, stem cell research, etc) -- as a Republican he certainly doesn't support many others (i.e. do unto others, it is better to give rather then receive, etc).
Thoughts?
