Success with Pink ?

Gang:

I recently posted this on another site and had a decent response from our friends in the NJ and LI. Just curious your experiences in CT, RI, and MA feel .

I can't help but notice all the different color plugs that exist today. If you ever looked in my plug bag you would be horrified by the lack of colors and condition of my plugs (except for the lazer sharp hooks). It's always been light colors on light nights (mostly white with a few variants) and mostly dark on dark nights (typically black with few variants) - as I was always a believer in the dark night/dark plug and light night/light plug theory. Last year, I began to experiment a little with my color selection and decided to be a little creative . In fact, I basically did mostly the OPPOSITE of what I believed and used in previous years
I used lures that I never used before, I mixed up colors, I tried smelly jelly, etc. On some outings, I did very well with light plugs on the darkest nights and I'm convinced smelly jelly helps (wheter it acutally is a fish attractor or scent blocker-remains to be determined).

I don't use pink plugs that often and just painted a few (bottle plugs, needlefish) in that color thinking it would be a good color to use when squid are in the area or when the water is a little dirty.

Have any of you had real success with pink plugs ?

I look forward to your comments.
