Its just what you thought it was.Phospherous or "Fire" in The water is a common . Its always there its just that on some nights you will see it more on some than others depending on how churned up the surf is or how dark the night is. We have a full moon on the 24th so my bet would be that the stronger tides brought it out off the bottom more than usuall.Last night was also cloudy.

Some people say they never catch fish when the stuff is around.When there is alot of it in the water, limit your use of hardware or anything that can reflect it.It can make a plug or lure look ten times its size.I always use bait when that stuff stirs.You see much more of it on the cape than you do in rhody.
