Ok, is it just ME that gets PO'ed when some one called the Cape Cod Canal another name? I call it "The Canal" to people in the local area.
Who the heck ever came up with the name "The Ditch"?! May be I'm just perpetually grumpy.
When I hear people use it in that term - I always correct them. Is it just me or do you care what people call it?
When I hear "ditch" - I think of a something that is associated w/ debris or sewage. Ya know people say: "throw that in the ditch" ,or "ditch that car".
May be I should have had my coffee earlier!
